The grapes, at the ideal stage of maturity, are harvested manually and stored in a cold chamber for 12 hours, in order to preserve their characteristics. This is followed by partial destemming and crushing in a wine press, where intense maceration takes place, before and during alcoholic fermentation with pumping for greater skin extraction. Wine brandy is added to the fermentation when the desired quantity of sugars is obtained, thus creating a fortified wine. This Port wine ages in oak vats, in the Douro. This wine has not undergone a stabilisation process, so a natural deposit may form in the bottle.

Tasting Notes:
Wine with an opaque appearance and deep purple colour. Aromas of sultanas, dark plums, heather and flavors of liquorice, cocoa and chocolate. On the palate it is silky, well-structured, rich in tannins, with a freshness that combines very well with sweetness, finishing extremely long and harmonious.
Store and Serve Advices:
It is recommended to store in a cool place, at a constant temperature (ideal storage temperature 12ºC), away from light, and in a horizontal position.
Food Pairing:
Recommended to end large lunches or dinners. It should be served chilled and decanted. It goes very well with chocolate desserts or strong cheeses.
