Product details
Wines originating from grapes produced in vineyards located in São Martinho (Municipality of Funchal) and São Jorge (North Coast). Two of the wines chosen for this batch aged in Barbeito's warehouses for more than 50 years. They were vinified in a continuous press and probably fermented for more days than would be normal for a Malvasia, as they were somewhat dry when we tasted them. Because they were in that state, they helped to compensate and balance the high concentration of sugar in the remaining three wines, which are very old and come from the Pereira da Silva family. Among those three old wines, one was in the bottle for 40 years and gave enormous elegance to the blend, which was intended to be in a classic style.
