Product details
The grapes were harvested by hand and transported to stone presses where manual treading was carried out for optimal extraction of colour, tannins and aromatic compounds. At the end of the harvest, the wine was transferred to 600L casks where it aged until the perfect bottling time was decided.
Grape Varieties:
Touriga Nacional,Touriga Franca,Tinta Roriz,Tinta Barroca,Tinto Cão
Tasting Notes:
Intense brick orange brown colour with amber reflections. The nose is elegant and intense, with aromas of dried fruits, especially walnut, vanilla, lemongrass and peppermint nuances. In the mouth, it is voluptuous and balanced, with a striking acidity counterbalancing an almost excessive sweetness, notes of honey and spices, light smoke and subtle ripe fruit. Round, long and durable.
Store and Serve Advices:
Store the bottle in a dark and cool place, with constant temperature, preferably between 12ºC and 15ºC. Once opened, store for 4 to 5 weeks.
Food Pairing:
Drink slightly cool. It displays all its aromatic splendour when paired with dried fruit jams, Portuguese conventual confectionery based on eggs and medium-intensity cheeses. Soft eggs or Azeitão cheese seem like the perfect combination.
