Winemaking:
Wine fermented with red grape varieties whose colour and texture are extracted from the skin and seeds during fermentation and post-fermentation maceration of red wine.
Grape Varieties:
Touriga Nacional,Sousão,Touriga Franca
Tasting Notes:
A red with some aromatic strength, notes of blackberry, light bitter cacao, some smoked wood. In the mouth it shows with very secure tannins, medium body but good general claw of set, sober fruit, perfect for the table.
Store and Serve Advices:
Serve at a temperature of 16-18°C.
Food Pairing:
Enjoy with roasted, slightly caramelized red meat or game with black fruit jelly. Match also with a powerful Portuguese cheese from “Azeitão” or a traditional “Roquefort”.
