Product details
The grapes for this rosé were harvested at the end of August, earlier than for a red wine, so that the grapes would retain good acidity, freshness, and delicate color. Whole-bunch pressing was performed very gently in a pneumatic press, with the must fermenting in stainless steel vats at a temperature of approximately 16-18°C. At the end of fermentation, 80% of the batch aged in barrels previously used for Quinta dos Carvalhais Branco Especial wine, with battonage, and the remaining 20% remained in stainless steel vats, also with battonage. The wine was bottled after 9 months of aging.
Grape Varieties:
Alfrocheiro
Tasting Notes:
Wine with a light pink petal color. A wine with a wide aromatic profile: floral, plum, raspberry and strawberry, slight cedar and resin, and some tertiary aromas and honey, resulting from aging in special white oak barrels. The lively acidity is very well balanced with the aromatic breadth on the palate and with the notes from oak aging. It is a wine with extraordinary volume and a long, delicate finish.

Food Pairing:
It is a very gastronomic wine, which can be enjoyed with both white and red meats, as well as oily fish, or some cheeses.
