Product details
The grapes are harvested by hand and transported to the winery in small boxes. They are then completely destemmed, crushed and transferred to stainless steel tanks where they ferment at a controlled temperature of around 24 to 26ºC with very careful maceration until all the sugars are exhausted. Each variety is fermented separately. Once alcoholic fermentation is complete, the wine is transferred to another stainless steel tank and remains there until malolactic fermentation begins, at which point the Touriga Nacional is transferred to barrels for around a year. Touriga Franca is stored in stainless steel. The final blend is made before preparation for bottling, when only a light fining with vegetable agents is carried out and then filtered immediately before filling the bottles in order to preserve all the aromatic potential. Therefore, as a product with only natural stabilisation, it is likely to create deposits over time in the bottle.
