Product details
Winemaking:
The grapes, harvested in small boxes, are selected at the entrance of the cellar by hand selection and then they are destemmed and crushed, followed by stone presses where the alcoholic fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of about 25ºC, with foot treading and careful maceration for better expression of fruit and tannins. After alcoholic fermentation, malolactic fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks, followed by 30% of the batch for 2nd and 3rd use barrels, in order to obtain some more concentration and adjustment of tannins without much input of new wood and loss of character of the variety.
Grape Varieties:
Touriga Nacional
Tasting Notes:
Red in colour with violet tones and an aroma with fresh red fruit, but also some ripe black fruit, associated with typical floral aromas of the variety. Also with sweet and balsamic notes resulting from the partial aging in barrels. Despite being young, it presents very soft and mature tannins together with more lively and fresh ones that give it good storage and evolution in the bottle, as well as gastronomic potential. In the mouth it enhances body and volume, with a structured, long and harmonious fresh finish.
