The grapes, at the ideal stage of maturity, are harvested manually and stored in a cold chamber for 12 hours, in order to preserve their characteristics. This is followed by partial destemming and crushing in a wine press, where intense maceration takes place, before and during alcoholic fermentation with pumping for greater skin extraction. Wine brandy is added to the fermentation when the desired quantity of sugars is obtained, thus creating a fortified wine. This Port wine ages in oak vats, in the Douro. This wine has not undergone a stabilisation process, so a natural deposit may form in the bottle.

Tasting Notes:
Purple in colour with garnet tones, it presents aromas of wild berries, especially blueberry jam combined with balsamic notes. In the mouth it reveals a vigorous and intense character, well-structured tannins; a long and persistent finish revealing that it will age well in the bottle.
Store and Serve Advices:
It is recommended to store in a cool place, at a constant temperature (ideal storage temperature 12ºC), away from light, and in a horizontal position.
Food Pairing:
During its aging in the bottle, Vintage Port will form sediment and should be carefully decanted after leaving the bottle upright for a few hours. This Vintage is perfect for pairing with spicy cheeses, ice cream and chocolate truffles.
