All the components of Caves São João Vintage Port 2017 (100 Years of History) were trodden by foot in granite lagares with 100 per cent stalks. The wines were transferred shortly after the harvest and aged in the Douro in casks over the winter. They were then transferred to the cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia in March 2018.

Tasting Notes:
Marvellous dark purple rim and great depth. The aroma is dominated by young black fruits. It's powerful on the initial palate, leading to a fresh mid-palate with very seductive black fruit flavours. A great combination of power and elegance, with a bold, dry and long finish.
Store and Serve Advices:
We recommend standing the bottle up for two hours before opening. Serving temperature 16º C to 17º C. In ideal cellar conditions, 70% humidity and 12º C to 14º C, and for those who like wines that mature in the bottle, it can still be kept for many years.
Food Pairing:
Perfect with Queijo da Serra, Stilton or other blue cheeses.
