The Adega Cooperativa de Ponte de Lima - ACPL - was founded in 1959 and entered in operation in 1962. Headquartered in Conde de Bertiandos in Ponte de Lima - the oldest town in Portugal - currently has an installed capacity of eleven and a half million liters, corresponding to twenty-three thousand barrels.
It is part of the subregion of Lima, one of the nine sub-regions that comprise the demarcated region of Vinho Verde by their natural characteristics of soil and climate and the grapes that owns, produces very different wines, but all features common, mildly alcoholic, fruity and fresh. The wines from Adega Cooperativa de Ponte de Lima result from perfectly ripe grapes winemaking regional varieties. In white wines, Loureiro has special expression for its wonderful adaptation to the "terroir" of Ribeira Lima yielding a wine much appreciated by the scent and its good organoleptic qualities.
