There's a very common question among most consumers: What is the difference between sparkling and semi-sparkling wine? Today we'll explain everything!
The law says that a semi-sparkling wine is a wine with an alcohol content of between 7% and 14%, and a minimum pressure of 1.1 to 2.0 atmospheres at 20ºC, natural or carbonated, i.e. the bubble can originate naturally during fermentation or carbon dioxide can be added.
In sparkling wines, the bubble can only originate naturally, either in the bottle or in tanks. It also has a higher pressure.
Often semi-sparkling wines are seen as less prestigious than sparkling wines, so today we've decided to demystify this idea a little and present some semi-sparkling wines that are very popular with our members.
