Product details
Winemaking:
Grapes from a single harvest are hand-picked into small shipping crates and vinified using the traditional Port wine method. After partial destemming, the grapes are crushed in stone presses with foot treading. The must ferments at a controlled temperature and is interrupted by the addition of brandy. This wine, as produced, has great aging potential.
Grape Varieties:
Touriga Nacional,Touriga Franca,Tinta Roriz
Tasting Notes:
Very deep violet colour. Very elegant, sweet aroma, highlighting the aroma of very ripe fruit, especially raisins, rockrose, and light floral and mineral notes. Full-bodied and balanced, with firm but delicate tannins. Sweet aroma, with ripe fruit; good length and a lingering finish.
Store and Serve Advices:
Keep the bottle horizontally, at a constant temperature, and away from intense direct light. As wine ages in the bottle, some natural sediment may form in the bottle over time, so it should be opened and decanted carefully before serving. Unfiltered wine; once opened, it should be consumed the same day. After the decanting process, the wine will open and reach its peak, then gradually lose its freshness, altering the tasting notes. It should be consumed at a temperature between 16°C and 18°C.
Food Pairing:
It pairs well with strong cheeses such as Stilton, Roquefort, Danish Blue, Serra Portuguesa, and others. It can also be served with fruit or chocolate desserts.
Allergens:
Contains sulphites.
