Portuguese fortified wines shine at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles

The 2025 Concours Mondial de Bruxelles session dedicated to Sweet and Fortified Wines awarded 27 Portuguese wines, including three Grand Gold medals, confirming Portugal as one of the world's leading producers of fortified wines.

We begin by highlighting Kopke Port Colheita White 2006, one of the wines that won the Grand Gold medal. It has a fragrant and rich nose where aromas of exotic fruit combine with notes of spice and orange peel. On the palate, it is intense and full-bodied, where the sensations of fruit in syrup combine perfectly with notes of wood ageing such as figs, vanilla and a hint of spice. A surprising wine with a delicate finish and unparalleled freshness. Not to be missed!

Our best-selling fortified wine, Graham's 10 Year Old, also won an award in this edition. Gold Medal. It exudes complex aromas of nuts, combined with notes of honey and figs. On the palate, rich flavours of ripe fruit stand out, wonderfully softened with a long and delicious finish.

Also noteworthy is Porto Cruz Ruby Port, which won a silver medal. Excellent value for money, as we are talking about a wine that costs €6.38 + VAT.

Take a look at our suggestions for today and let yourself be guided by one of the most prestigious wine competitions in the world.
