Product details
The overripe grapes are harvested manually. They are then partially destemmed and crushed in a mechanical press, where intense maceration takes place before and during alcoholic fermentation. The various pumping overs during fermentation are aimed at controlling the temperature and increasing skin extraction. Wine brandy is added to the fermentation at the ideal time for each variety, thus preserving the aromatic concentration, colour and structure of the wine. The Vintage is aged in oak vats in the Douro, with temperature and humidity control and, after successive tastings, it was bottled 3 years after its harvest. This wine was not subjected to a stabilisation process, so a natural deposit may form in the bottle.
