Alvaro Martinho Lopes, resident winemaker in Real Companhia Velha and esponsible for some of the best reds from this iconic producer, has started a new project in the Douro where he has the labels Mafarrico and most recently the Maquia where he joins efforts with Dirk Niepoort.
