To celebrate their 50th anniversary, Judas Priest has just released a Portuguese wine. Like Iron Maiden, the Douro producer Van Zeller was selected to compose the blend that celebrates Judas Priest's 50th anniversary and their latest album, Invincible Shield.
Made from the 2023 harvest year, this Douro DOC reserve red roars with the essence of Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cão, and Touriga Franca. Aged in Port barrels for 6 to 9 months, it develops a crescendo of blackberries, black cherries, and plums, seasoned with rebellious spices and a powerful finish, as befits a wine named after one of heavy metal's most iconic bands, representing over 50 million albums sold.
The label, similar to Iron Maiden's Darkest Red Eddies Blend, wraps the bottle with an image of the band's latest album, Invincible Shield.
While this red wine is a highly collectible item for many, it's still worth tasting it because it's a powerful Douro reserve that deserves to be paired with food and, above all, with a music from one of the 19 albums this band has released over the past 50 years.
Take advantage of this exclusive release from our store, and why not pair it with Iron Maiden's Darkest Red Eddies Blend for a great concert dedicated to the wine and to the heavy metal.
