Grande Porto group started in wine business in 2005 as result of one of the partners huge passion for wines. It's selected the finest crops of the most well-known wine-growing regions of Portugal.
From the Alentejo region, famous for its hills, comes the brand Montes de Lá; from the Dão region, where we can find majestic mountain chains, derived Serras de Lá and from the Douro region, widely known for its marvellous hillsides, emerged Encostas de Lá. The internationally renowned “Vinhos Verdes” region, is the origin of the brands Messala and Desfiado. Messala, the most awarded wine, is produced in the sub-region of Monção and Melgaço with the noblest cast of Vinhos Verdes, the Alvarinho cast. Desfiado is a tribute to the traditional embroidery from this region.
