Fundação Oriente

The Foundation is responsible for what is the largest contiguous portion of the area bounded to the production of Colares wines. 9 acres! The adventure of the Colares Wine began in 1999, within the philanthropic and cultural spirit that characterizes this foundation.
Vinha Grande is located between Praia das Maçãs and Azenhas do Mar, benefiting from dry sand soil and the huge pine forest that surrounds it, which in a way protects the trellises from the humid and salty winds of the Atlantic. It's situated just over 1 km from the coast. The Oriente Foundation produces close to 15 thousand bottles of Ramisco red and Malvasia de Colares white.
